The summertime blues are well-known in the US. But what about when it’s winter? What if you’re in a horror movie and it transitions into spring, but then back to fall again?
The summertime blues lyrics is a song by the American rock band Alice in Chains. The song was released on July 26, 1995 and reached number four on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
On August 10, the second season of “Stargirl” will debut. “Stargirl” premieres after the CW’s “Arrow” and “Black Lightning” finales, while the remaining episodes of “Supergirl” will air in August. The new season will concentrate on the mystery of Starman and whether or not he is still alive, with Joel McHale’s appearance in the premiere adding to the intrigue. McHale’s position continues to remain a mystery, although he certainly behaves and looks like late JSA member Sylvester Pemberton. McHale’s character will arrive in town at the start of the season, but he will not be seen again for many episodes.
Season three has already been renewed by the CW, which has renewed all of its programs save those in their last seasons. EP Geoff Johns said in an interview with TVLine that he has always enjoyed the slow-burning subplots in comic books and praised TVLine’s query regarding McHale’s character being a seed for season three. McHale is anticipated to appear in future flashbacks to the JSA, which has been hinted to include John Wesley Shipp.
Brec Bassinger, Luke Wilson, Amy Smart, Yvette Monreal, Anjelika Washington, Cameron Gellman, Trae Romano, Meg DeLacy, and Nick Tarabay are among the cast members of the show.
Season 2 spoilers for ‘Stargirl’
Geoff Johns teased Entertainment Weekly about season two’s future ideas.
The next season will have some scary elements. Eclipso, the new adversary in the typically upbeat coming-of-age story, will provide a few shocks (played by Nick Tarabay). The next season will begin with an opening sequence that will give a few jump scares and serve as a warning to viewers that the tone of the show will change to a frightening and gloomy one.
The story then shifts to Courtney (Stargirl) and her pals patrolling at night, but their searches are always fruitless since nothing appears to be going on in town. At the start of the series, the characters will be dealing with the summertime blues, according to Johns. The EP promised fans that the season would remain funny and entertaining, but the writers felt it was essential to establish the tone right immediately to let viewers know that the season will be frightening.
The EP also stated that he drew inspiration from childhood favorites like “Nightmare on Elm Street” and “Lost Boys.”
In his interview with EW, Geoff Johns added, “Eclipso is a villain from the 1960s comic books who was a demonic entity akin in tone to Freddy Krueger or Pennywise.” The “Stargirl” team will face a new enemy who has the power to enter their minds and reveal their fears and regrets. In a traditional tale of evil vs. light, it will be up to the heroes to stop him. It was tough to blend the various tones this season, according to Johns, but it was their chance to get to know all of the characters. Everyone has a strong and extremely personal narrative this season, according to the EP.
As the authors push into the horror genre and the element of suspense, expect the characters to confront new difficulties. Nick Tarabay will be dressed in terrifying makeup, which will be revealed later in the season and will be a build-up to a moment that will be disclosed later in the season. When the episode airs, Johns hopes that viewers will be both pleased and frightened.
On ‘Stargirl,’ Jay Garrick will make an appearance.
With the entrance of John Wesley Shipp, who will appear in episode nine, the next season will include the first formal crossover between “Stargirl” and the Arrowverse. He will reprise his role as Jay Garrick and will appear as the Golden Age version of the speedster, establishing him as a Justice Society of America member.
The JSA originally appeared in season two of “Legends of Tomorrow,” which featured a death-defying JSA. The world of “Stargirl” is set on Earth-2, and it exists independently of the shared reality shared by Kara Danvers, Barry Allen, the Legends, and John Diggle. EP Geoff Johns told TVLine that this mini-crossover would link their reality to the rest of the Arrowverse, making them officially a part of a larger universe. The EP also hinted that the introduction of Garrick would pave the way for them to engage with other characters from the Arrowverse series in the future, and that when they do, it will be in their own unique “Stargirl” manner.
The CW is well-known for its large number of DC programs set in a universe distinct from the DC Extended Universe shown in the movie. Johns went on to say that The Flash was his favorite superhero as a child, and that Shipp blew him away on the first season of “The Flash” in 1990.
Spoilers for the first two episodes of ‘Stargirl’
The first two episodes of season two have been described by the CW. Pat suggests that they take a family trip during the approaching summer break in order to prevent Courtney (Brec Bassinger) from worrying more about becoming Stargirl than about school in episode one, “Summer School: Chapter One.” In other scenes from the episode, Beth (Anjelika Washington) tries to reconcile with Chuck and discovers a secret her parents have hidden from her, Yolanda (Yvette Monreal) deals with Brainwave’s death, and Rick (Cameron Gellman) continues his covert search for Solomon Grundy.
On August 10, the episode will broadcast.
Courtney continues her hunt for evil in town in episode two, “Summer School: Chapter Two,” which takes a turn when an unexpected guest shows up at their home. When an antique collector pays them a visit, Barbara (Amy Smart) and Pat (Luke Wilson) grow worried. Cindy (Meg DeLacy) will also be putting her plan into action in this episode.
